Alamo City Comic Con Impresses

The Alamo City Comic Con is a convention designed for nothing but the most passionate of comic and cosplay loving fans. Comic Con is an international event and held in many places such as New York, San Francisco, San Diego, and Las Vegas.

This year’s comic con was held at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center from Friday September, 26th to Sunday, September 28th.

There were a variety of different fictional characters ranging from anime, to video game characters. The events also included characters such as Dead Pool, Venom, and X23 from Marvel Comics, and Wonder Women, Batman, and The Flash from DC Comics.

During the convention, fans of all ages walked around and enjoy seeing the wonderfully well put together costumes. They had chances to meet celebrities, buy merchandize, view actual props from movies, and learn about the background of many different comics.

When you first walked into the convention, you saw many people walking carrying swords, shields, masks, and even children. It’s an overwhelming experience filled with much excitement.

Many different celebrities also attended, including the Father of Comics, Stan Lee. Also in attendance was Lou Diamond Phillips, Brian “Head” Welch, and “Mini-Me” Verne Troyer. Sadly, in order to take a picture with them, an attendee must have paid.

There were many different booths with different people selling, advertising and promoting comic products. The way the convention is set up is surely not the best. There are long lines, crowding, and getting run in to.

Nevertheless, the atmosphere is extraordinary. The event itself is a great way for people to connect and just have fun. Comic Con is truly an inspiring sight, with hopes that Alamo City Comic Con continues to grow.
