Judson Welcomes A Former Rocket To Staff

Judson High School welcomes new teachers every year. This year, Judson welcomed English teacher Ms. Jeanetta Edwards, a former Judson Rocket and lover of kids. Edwards enjoys teaching our freshman and loves the personalities of her students. She used to work at a daycare before coming to Judson High School.

“Most of them think they are comedians,” Edwards said. “They just say what they feel. But I’ve always liked kids,” Edwards said.

Some of the reasons why Edwards choose Judson High School are because she was a former Rocket, and her parents live nearby. She was raised in our area.

Edwards wants to show her students the love of literature. She said that she is not really strict about her rules for her students, but emphasizes that it is equal privilege for all students. Nevertheless, one of struggles with teaching is keeping her students focus on studying for test and quizzes.

Though teaching is new to Edwards, it is a top priority for her to make sure her students make good grades on the assignments, and stay respectful at all times to prepare them for future tasks ahead of them. One of the most important things she said is that she makes sure her students have the same Rocket Pride she had when she was student here at Judson High School.
