Influenced by Britney Spears’ classic album, the junior class has decided to change this year’s prom theme to “Circus.”

“It was a quick decision,” a class officer said. “However, that album is just a classic. I pitched the idea and the committee agreed.”

The officers now have to destroy all of the current decorations they have and re-order everything, as well as expedite them to the school in order to build them in time for prom.

“It will be classic,” the officer said.

Even after the officers decided the change, the sponsors of numerous campus organizations were very upset.

“This is a simple waste of money,” a teacher said. “When it comes to dumb ideas, this is at the top. Might as well change the mascot into the ‘Astronauts.’”

Needless to say, the event space is welcoming the change.

“As long as we get paid, I welcome any theme,” a spokesperson for the venue said.

Prom tickets have already been sold out, so people are in for… a show.
