Orchestra performs their first concert of the year
Led by Director Mr. Robert Sabo and Assistant Director Mr. Daniel Stephens, the Judson High school orchestra presented their skills during the first concert of the year on October 17, 2019.
The directors felt pride in their student’s hard work in the months leading up to their performance.
“They’ve definitely come a long way,” Stephens says. “They’ve really grown in the few months that we had. I’m so proud of the work that they’ve done.”
After performing, students also held feelings of accomplishment and unity in the work they’ve done these past couples of months.
“I felt like the concert was really great,” senior Sidney Silva said. “Being in my senior year, I wanted to make sure I had my good last memories with the orchestra before I graduated.”
This is only the beginning of what orchestra has planned for the year.
“For our upcoming winter concert, our honors orchestra has already started music for that,” Mr. Stephens says. “It’s a lot of John Williams pieces from Harry Potter to A.I.”
The orchestra has more in store for upcoming events such as future concerts, UIL competitions, and new pieces.
