As we enter the fall season, pumpkin spice is everywhere.
With there being so many new pumpkin spice items, it’s hard to tell what you should and shouldn’t get. However, that’s why I’m here, to give you my honest opinions on ten popular pumpkin spice items.
Iced Chai Tea Latte With Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam
This is the most original pumpkin spice item at Starbucks. Personally, I give it a 10/10, it definitely being my favorite drink right now. It’s the perfect mix of chai and pumpkin spice, though at first you may be a little against it. I ordered my drink, chilled but you can also get it hot. The after taste of the drink isn’t strong at all and personally I would pair it with a pumpkin loaf from Starbucks. This item can be found at Starbucks.
Pumpkin Muffin With Cream Cheese
Once again this is another Starbucks menu item which was also released this year. Now I’m not a huge fan of muffins, but this was a pretty good one, giving it a 7/10 rating. The muffin itself has a good pumpkin taste which is not too strong but enough to taste it. As for the cream cheese part, when getting it I expected it to be filled with the cream cheese, but to my surprise it was just a tiny dollop on the top, which is where most of my points were deducted. The cream cheese really leveled out the muffin as a whole and I was a little disappointed when there was only a little taste of it. This item can also be found at Starbucks.
Pumpkin Delights
First thing I’m going to say about the Pumpkin Delights is that the pumpkin flavor wasn’t there. Therefore, I rate it a 4/10. I’m aware that they are a very known pumpkin spice item, but if I’m being honest, I was just not very fond of it. The filling in it wasn’t very overpowering like I wanted. I wanted more of a pumpkin taste, but to me I got more of a caramel taste. I will say though, pumpkin spice can be a hard taste to achieve, however I shouldn’t be tasting caramel in a pumpkin spice cookie..
Pumpkin Spice Oreos
The Oreos were definitely the most pumpkin thing I tasted out of all the reviews. I’m not a big fan of Oreos, but the pumpkin spice ones are one of my favorites. I rate them 7/10. The cookie is a vanilla wafer with a pumpkin filling. The pumpkin flavor is not strong at all and tastes like a pumpkin pie. The only reason they’re not higher in ranking is because like I mentioned, I don’t like Oreos as much, however they are still very enjoyable.
Pumpkin Spice Chapstick
This item definitely shocked me. In my personal opinion I didn’t mind the pumpkin spice taste, though at first I was worried it would bother me with it not being mint flavored. The only thing I noticed was it was a little more rough than an average chapstick, leading me to rate it a 6/10. The chapstick was also very moisturizing and kept my lips hydrated for a long amount of time.
Pumpkin Spice And Vanilla Chai Lotion
I didn’t like this lotion at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love pumpkin spice, but I don’t like the idea of smelling like a pumpkin all day. If I’m being honest the pumpkin smell also wasn’t the best. It was just so strong and had no other hints, I had a horrible headache by the end of the day. I rate the lotion a 2/10 and only because it was a genuinely moisturizing lotion. If you like a strong pumpkin scent, this lotion is definitely for you, however I wish it had other scents mixed into it, to compliment the overpowering pumpkin smell.
Pumpkin Pie Hand Soap
The soap honestly really dried my skin out. After I put the soap on and washed my hands I felt a need for lotion. The pumpkin smell was not really there as well, and was more of a pumpkin pie smell, not pumpkin spice. I give this soap a 0/10.
Pumpkin Spice Bath Bomb
Personally, I really liked the bath bomb but I do also feel like it’s hard to go wrong with one. I did enjoy the pumpkin scent throughout the time of the bath, however, I wouldn’t say it was a strong pumpkin scent, more like a fall scent similar to cinnamon, but it wasn’t bad at all. The bath bomb itself was also really cute and it was sad to dissolve it. In general I rate this is 9/10. I have sensitive skin so before I used it I checked the ingredients and it was filled with very natural ingredients. My skin had no reactions at all from this bath bomb at all.
I had a good time reviewing all these pumpkin spice items and it definitely opened my eyes to new things, while also changing my perspective. Pumpkin spice is a huge part of fall and for a long time I didn’t notice all the items included with the flavor. Majority of these items are under $20 and can be found at your local retail store, and or, online.
