With all the attention It Ends With Us has received over the years, the publication of the second book It Starts With Us has everyone at the edge of their seats.

It Ends With Us has 1.6 billion views on TikTok and over 1.7 million ratings on Good Reads.

This is a book that many people want to get their hands on.

Colleen Hoover is a New York Times best-selling author of more than twenty-three novels including It Ends With Us, All Your Perfects, Ugly Love, and Verity.

It Ends With Us really highlighted and narrated Lily Bloom’s life. It talks about the history of her and Atlas Corrigan. It also follows a love triangle between Lily Bloom, Ryle Kincaid, and Atlas Corrigan.

It’s a challenging story that talks about romance and abuse.

The ending of the first book It Ends With Us, left us with Lily and her newborn Emerson starting their lives together.

It Starts With Us takes place two years after the first book. It shows us back-to-back dialogues between Lily and Atlas.

The second book starts off with Lily and Ryle co-parenting and having to work together for Emerson, their child. With Ryle still being a very active part of Lily’s life, she has trouble making decisions about her and Atlas because she feels like she still owes Ryle some type of sympathy.

It highlights the challenges of overcoming an abusive relationship and life after you’ve experienced domestic abuse.

The story shows Atlas and Lily rekindling their relationship. Although they had history together as teenagers, they are completely different people as adults. The book focuses on them getting to know each other at this point of their lives.

The story It Ends With Us is based off of Ryle and Lily’s relationship, since Ryle is no longer a romantic figure in her life, he is not really focused on in the second book.

It Starts With Us throws curve balls that happen in Atlas’s  life, as well as Lily’s. In the story you see them as individuals handling situations they have never been in, but still learning how to get through them together. It brings back the puppy love they experienced when they were teenagers, giving them a feeling they hadn’t felt in years. Lily begins doing things that used to comfort her when she was younger such as writing in her journals again.

Throughout the book Lily mentions how she wants to take things slow with Atlas when trying for a relationship again. The love story between Atlas and Lily is told in such a well detailed way that shows the connection they have as soulmates.

I think that the way the book was executed and written is exactly how I would’ve wanted their love story to be told.

The love between Atlas and Lily is so gentle yet passionate.

The story perfectly unfolds the healing process when finding someone you truly love and letting everything you’ve experienced be put behind you.

The book shows Lily learning how to heal through her trauma and let a man love her again. It Starts With Us really captures the beauty of finding peace and finally being able to be happy again.

If you are a Colleen Hoover fan, and want to read this book you can purchase it on Amazon, Target, Walmart, or your local bookstore.
