Everyone has seen Rocket Man hyping the crowd, doing performances, and just getting excited at school events, but who is he?

A humble student full of school spirit. Vibrantly dressing as a mascot since middle school, Rocket Man says he started simply because “[he] was bored” and wanted something to do.

Rocket Man’s years of experience makes him as good at the job as anyone at Judson. Although it is a very enjoyable job, Rocket Man said the heat can make it hard. “It gets extremely hot in the suit, especially during the summer months,” he said. “The suit is just drenched.”

He does a good job of hiding that fatigue and always remains energetic and excited. Nobody should know who he is, but when asked about the people who do know his identity, Rocket Man said. “It doesn’t bother me really, but people who do know shouldn’t tell anyone.”

We can expect to see this same Rocket Man for another year, as he is a classified junior. However, we are missing Rocket Girl. “She left me,” Rocket Man sadly said.

Rocket Man is very humble and doesn’t seem to take his job too seriously. He has become a symbol for our school through his performances and hype at events and will continue to do so for another year and then hopefully the new mascot will be more anonymous. Hopefully, we can continue the tradition of not really knowing who Rocket Man is.
