Use The Bathroom Right

This scenario has happened to everyone, students, and teachers.

You’re walking into the bathroom, possibly having a bad day. As you open the stall door you stopped by toilet paper scattered everywhere, not knowing if it’s used or not. There are even fluids on the floor. You don’t even want to try to figure out what it is. It’s also very uncomfortable to use the toilet because of how gross it is

Everyone uses the bathroom. Therefore, you would assume everyone should want to use a clean bathroom.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case in some bathrooms on campus. This isn’t the fault of the custodial staff – they work hard to make sure everything is clean. The spotlight needs to be placed on students who not only use the bathroom incorrectly, which seems something that shouldn’t be brought to their attention, but those who end up trashing it.

Many people have commented about the state of the bathrooms on campus. Some people will just let the bathrooms stay the way they are, but will always complain about the issue. Others will open up about how the bathrooms aren’t being neat enough and may even attempt to make an effort to doing something about it.

Some students even try to avoid going to the bathroom at school, knowing when you walk into the bathroom, there is going to be something out of place. People should not have to avoid using the bathroom because of the lack of neatness.

Everyone should do their part instead of just walking away from it. It sounds simple – walk in, use the bathroom in an appropriate way, wash your hands, and put the trash in the trash can. If you see something out of place, take a moment to fix it, especially if it bothers you. If you want something done a certain way, do it yourself

The initiative needs to be taken. This is not your house – this is a public facility where everyone should have the same privilege of going to a clean bathroom. The neatness of the bathrooms important; there needs to be a change in the way we take care of them.
