Prom moving to a new location
One of the greatest memories of most seniors is prom night, the night where students can dress to their finest and create amazing memories before they graduate.
Thanks to the careful planning and deliberation of junior class sponsor Mrs. Carrie Hill and the junior class officers, this year’s masquerade prom will be held on April 30, 2016 at the Rosenberg Sky Room at the University of the Incarnate Word.
The prom committee begins to plan months in advance, working long hours to achieve. Normally, the prom is held at Shrine Auditorium. However, this year they have decided to change it up a bit and reserved the prom at a new, nicer location.
“We have to select a venue because they get booked by other schools,” Hill said.
Their goal is to make each year better than the one before.
“I want it to be better every year,” Hill said. “It is quite a challenge, but that’s what makes it so much fun.”
Tickets will be sold during all lunches and will start at $29, but will rise to $35 as the night gets closer. The last day to buy tickets will be Thursday April 28 as T-shirt orders go in that day.
