Students pray together at Pray at the Pole, a gathering of students to pray for a good school day.

Generation Changers is an student-ran organization who gather to spread the light of Jesus. The organization meets every Tuesday after school from 4:25 to 5:30 in H141. Together, they lead a Bible study in hopes to recruit other students and teaching them the love of God.

“Living for Jesus is a choice you make that transforms your life,” senior Jarren Longoria said.

This is the message that Longoria wants to get across about Jesus to believers and or lost youth. Longoria motivates people to accept Jesus and not to be ashamed about one’s faith.

“To give everyone a voice, a name and a part to transform this world together,” Longoria said.

Longoria’s plan for the year is to make sure the Generation Changers continues to change the world, even after he graduates. Though they are a small group, they continue to grow and spread the word and love of Jesus.

“The loving atmosphere and encouragement also it challenges me to be a better person for Him,” Longoria said.

Longoria joined Generation Changers his sophomore year for this very reason. Now as a senior, he is the leader of the organization. The group practices inspiration and love and attempts to motivate people to transform themselves for Jesus.

“I like [the organization],” senior Remi Nations said. Remi had been in the organization for a year now.

“I started going to Pray at the Pole,” Nations said. “They told me they had Generation Changers and so I decided to go.”

The Pray at the Pole is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to reshape, pray, and build each other for the glory of God before school begins. They sing songs, and ultimately bring out otherwise hidden emotions. They meet at 8:00 a.m.

This group brings light and positivity to many students here at Judson. They hope to recruit more youth and will continue to teach the love of God.
