Game-changing call in the third quarter changed the game's momentum.

The Judson Rockets faced off against the Lake Travis Cavaliers on December 8, 2018, at the Alamodome for the regional finals.

To start the first quarter, a huge hit from junior Jayden Cloud gave the Rockets the ball at the 38-yard line. After a fake play from senior Rashad Wisdom, senior Sincere McCormick was set up for Judson’s first touchdown of the game, which made the score 7-0. After both teams shut each other down, sophomore Weston Stephens of the Cavaliers scored their first touchdown of the game which made the score 7-7 at the end of the first.

After both teams couldn’t find any momentum to start the second quarter, senior Garrett Wilson of the Cavaliers caught a tightly guarded touchdown that made the score 14-6. A huge run from junior Mike Chandler set up junior Antony Shelton for a 48-yard touchdown that tied the score 14-14 to end the second quarter.

To start the third quarter, Wilson of the Cavaliers caught a deep bomb for the Lake Travis third touchdown the game. After a game-changing bad call, Lake Travis kept possession after a possible forced fumble which lead them to kick a field goal that made the score 24-14 to end a very questionable third quarter.

To start the fourth quarter, Shelton caught a 37-yard pass for Judson’s third touchdown of the game, which made the score 21-24. After a blown coverage, junior Kyle Eaves of the Cavaliers ran for their fourth touchdown of the game, which made the score 31-21.

After a botched kick return, the Cavaliers got the ball on their side of the field. To ice the game, Wilson of the Cavaliers caught their fifth touchdown, which ended the game with the score of 38-21.

The Judson Rockets undefeated season comes to an end against the Cavaliers.
