Alberto Torres is a senior who is entering his second year on the newspaper staff as the Sports Editor. He is also in the award-winning Judson High School Band and serves as an officer as the Band’s Historian. He is also in AP classes and has two Honorable Mention stories from the Best in Texas Contest by TAJE during his first year on staff.

The Katy Tigers didn't just claim the Texas High School title over the weekend. They were named national champs in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national football rankings. Katy went into the championship weekend as the third-ranked team nationally, but their dominant 34-7 win over previously unbeaten Lake Travis vaulted them to the top spot in the country.
